The 60-Second Core Reset

(Spine Support + Back Stress Relief)

Do you ever feel like your low back is tight, fatigued, or just “unsteady” after a long day of sitting, driving, or moving around?

When your deep core is “online,” it acts like a natural brace for your spine. This quick 60-second reset helps improve stability and reduces the mechanical load your low back takes during everyday movement.

This Week’s Wellness Tip: The 60-Second Reset

Perform this routine 1–3 times per day to activate your deep core and protect your low back.

  • 0:00 – 0:20 | The Brace: Stand tall and gently brace your core (imagine you are preparing for a light poke to the stomach).

  • 0:20 – 0:40 | The Breath: Maintain that light brace while taking slow breaths through your nose. Focus on your ribs expanding while keeping the core engaged.

  • 0:40 – 1:00 | The March: Maintain the brace and the breathing while slowly marching in place. Focus on keeping your torso perfectly steady while your legs move.

Why This Works

Think of your core as a natural weightlifting belt. By “resetting” these muscles daily, you ensure they are firing correctly to support your vertebrae, rather than forcing your lower back muscles and ligaments to do all the heavy lifting.
